Privacy policy

This policy describes the current EM Ultrasound development build and this website. It will be updated if their data practices change.

The app

EM Ultrasound is an educational reference. It does not require an app account, request patient records or upload ultrasound examinations. Reference images and videos are included with the app.

Preferences such as exam order, procedure order and acknowledgment of the educational disclaimer are stored locally on your device. They are not sent to the developer by the app.

The current build has no advertising or developer-added analytics service. Apple, Google or your device provider may process store, diagnostic or device information under their own policies and your settings.

Feedback and support email

If you choose “Send feedback,” the app opens your email application with the support address, a feedback prompt and the app version and build number. It does not send the message automatically or attach logs, images or patient information.

If you send an email, the developer receives the information you choose to include, your email address and the normal details accompanying email. Support correspondence is used to respond to requests, review corrections and improve the app. It is handled through email service providers, including iCloud Mail.

Support messages are kept as needed to address the request and meet applicable obligations. You can contact the support address to request deletion of your support correspondence. Please do not send patient information or other sensitive records.

This website

This website does not include advertising, an added analytics service, a mailing-list form or third-party video embeds. App images and the preview video are served with the site.

Hosting providers may process technical request information, such as IP addresses and browser details, to deliver and protect the site. Private preview access may also use the hosting provider’s sign-in and session cookies. Those services are subject to their own privacy policies.

Reference links and email links open other services. Their privacy practices are governed by their respective providers.
